hayat bizi değil oyunları ne hale getirdi aslında daha çok.

adventure türü bitti çünkü 90'larda niche sayılan cücük kadar oyuncu kitlesinin ilgileneceği şey miktarı bugünkü kadar çok değildi. oyun türleri arasında bariz çizgiler vardı ve birbirlerinden farklıydılar. fate of atlantis, maniac mansion, monkey island, missing on lost island ve bir sürü diğer 9 icon adventure oyunlarını oynuyorduk çünkü zor puzzle'ları çözmeyi seviyorduk. ve o zaman bizim için o dönemin eğlence olayıydı. çözemezsen de dergide aylar sonra tam çözümünü okumaktan başka seçenek yoktu, ilerliyeceksen çözeceksin yani. aynı sahnelerde defalarca dolanıp piksel avı yapmak zorunda kalıyordun. adventure türü benim favorimdi. hoş hikayesini falan da anladığımı sanmıyorum ama takıldığın bi yeri geçmek odanın ortasında dans ettirecek kadar sevindiriyodu.

Sonraki dönem 3d'ye geçişle bir süre daha devam etti ama artık etkisini azaltmaya başladı. Adventure türünün hayranları sürekli azalıyor çıkan oyun sayısı ve puanları da düşüyordu. Grim fandango ve benzeri çok iyi yapımlar olsa da ilgilnen kitle o bütçeyi karşılamıyordur. Onun yerine Action yap, içine adventure elementleri koy (puzzle'lar) ve ver çoşkuyu başlıyordu. Zaten mouse ile kontroller iyice oturmuştu ve first person salgın gibi yayıldı.

bugün trend değişti. ne kimsenin o kadar oyanalacak vakti var, ne hiç bir yapımcının zor içerik sunup oyuncu kitlesini kısıtlayacak lüksü veya trend değiştirmeye cesareti var (bkz dark souls serisi). ayrıca bu puzzle'ları çözmeye çalışmak da o kadar eğlenceli gelmeyecek, tükettiğin o kadar içerik olduktan sonra hem yeni bişeyler arıyorsun hem de kaliteli istiyorsun (guybrush, arkana bak üç başlı maymun var dediğinde veya stan yine hızlı konuşup bişeyler satmaya çalıştığında sadece nostaljik bir gülümseme olacak yani, yoksa komik geleceğinden değil). ne bileyim süper diyaloglar olacak, değişik şaşırtacak yaratıcı olaylar dönecek vs. seni saracak yani. bazen diğer etkenler o kadar iyi olmasa da sadece nostalji faktörü buna neden olabiliyor. ama çoğunlukla öyle sanıp gerçekle yüzleşmenle sonuçlanıyor. sonra oyunu bırakıp devam etmiyorsun.

tim shafer adventure türüne broken age ile geri döndüğünde baya hype olmuştu. oyun hem çok moderndi hem de üstadın elinden çıkmıştı. ki yaratıcı bi şekilde iki dünya arasında geçiş yapma gibi şeyler vardı. e sonuç? ben bitirmedim, oyun da çok başarılı sayılmaz satış konusunda. ilk ay 3k kişiye ulaşmış peak. ulan dünyanın emeğini veriyorsun ve hayvan gibi ismin var ama basit bi minecraft klonunun 10'da 1'i kadar başarı elde edemiyorsun. sonra adam da day of the tentacle, full throttle ve grim fandango'yu remaster yapmak dışında dokunmadı türe.

Bi de o ara telltale geldi, ulan biz bu eski adventure oyunlarını ve süper popüler markaları alalım, casual oyunculara quick time event'lerle ve seçimlerle sunalım dedi. puzzle'ları salla, odaklandığımız nokta hikaye anlatımı olsun dedi. eski yeni bir sürü yapımla baya başarılı oldular. bi de episode halinde sundular ama sonradan o biraz daha dezavantaj oldu sanki. neyse onun da hevesi geçince gg oldular. ki bunlar da monkey island yaptı hatırlarsanız ama 100 kişi peak olmuş. onu bitirmiştim ama oyunu sevdiğimden değil yani.

neyse uzun lafın kısası adventure yapımcısının geçen yıllarla harcayacağı vakit artarken ilgilenen oyuncu sayısı düşünce ortaya bu sonuç çıkıyor.

bi de millet daha kolay içerik basabiliyor aynı türe o da baya etkilemiştir. adam düz asset'leri döşüyor, oyunda hiç bir mekanik yok, bi hikaye koymuş etrafı araştırıp hikayeyi açmaya çalışıyosun. otursan 3 ayda yaparsın. walking simulator diye adları çıktı işte sonra.

 

neyse buna sevindim, art work de baya iyi duruyor. yine yandan görünümlü olacak gibi o da güzel. yine çok başarılı olmayacağından korkuyorum ama nostalji dışında içerik taze ve güzel olursa en azından bizi sevindirir.

Satış olarak çok başarılı olmaz ama oyun belirli bir seviyeyi tutturur bence.

Puzzle adventure'lar bile var piyasada, çok satmıyorlar ama para kazanıyorlar diye düşünüyorum. Vasat ama tutunmuş, satan Sherlock Holmes serisi var. Arada Papers Please, Oxenfree gibi başarılı oyunlar da çıkıyor.

şu çok doğru hakkaten, mainstream kitle büyüdükçe böyle ufak yüzdeye hitap edenler bile parasını çıkarıp iş yapabilecek konuma geldiği için yapılabiliyor, halen nişin nişi olsa hobi olarak bile yapılmazdı bunlar
