New York, NY – June 1, 2015 – 2K and Firaxis Games today announced that XCOM® 2, the sequel to the Game of the Year* award-winning strategy title XCOM®: Enemy Unknown, is currently in development for Windows-based PC. Developed by Firaxis Games, XCOM 2 transports players 20 years into the future, where humanity lost the war against the alien threat that has established a new world order. The secret paramilitary organization known as XCOM is largely forgotten, and must strike back to reclaim control of Earth and free mankind from the aliens’ rule. XCOM 2 is currently scheduled for release in November 2015. The game will also be coming to Mac and Linux via Feral Interactive.

In XCOM 2, the roles have been reversed, and XCOM is now the invading force. They are hampered by limited resources and must constantly evade the alien threat in their new mobile headquarters. Players must use a combination of firepower and stealth-like tactics to help XCOM recruit soldiers and build a resistance network, while attempting to expose the evil alien agenda and save humanity. XCOM 2 will introduce gameplay features such as procedurally-generated levels, which will make each experience unique to the player, as well as offer a much deeper level of modding support. Additionally, XCOM 2 will offer a variety of new content including five updated soldier classes, increased soldier customization, more alien and enemy types, evolved tactical combat and more.

“Firaxis proved they could reimagine a beloved franchise with XCOM: Enemy Unknown, a Game of the Year award-winning title,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “With XCOM 2, the team is breathing new life into the series by adding an epic narrative and challenging players to overcome near impossible odds.”

“The feedback from the passionate XCOM community played an important role in the development of XCOM 2, driving us to push the visual, gameplay and replayability boundaries of what a strategy game can be,” said Jake Solomon, creative director of XCOM 2 at Firaxis Games. “We’re thrilled to implement long-time fan requested features such as procedural levels and modding support, as well as adding more of what makes XCOM great like new aliens, enemies and soldier classes.”

hayırlı olsun, sevindim her ne kadar ilk oyunda hayalkırıklığı olduysa da. gameplay'i geliştirebileceklerinden çok şüpheliyim gene de. yine tek base olsun diye konuyu bile öyle değiştirmişler.

da hemen üzüntü çünkü konu facia. bütün gelmiş geçmiş ne kadar xcom oyunu vardıysa biz hepsinde dünyayı savunuyorduk, funding vs bütün stratejik level gameplay'de bir temel vardı. savurup atmışlar, çakma syndicate gibi birşey olmuş ki o viral siteyi görünce yazmıştım zaten.

tahminim bu herifler tamamen kaldırdı funding vs, interception'ı da kaldırdı. öyle görevden göreve gidilen, stratejik seviyesi ilk oyundakinden de zayıf ve kötürüm birşey çıkacak. şu anlattıkları setting'de hiçbirine yer yok çünkü. dümdüz taktik harita kapışmasına indirgemişlerse şaşmayacağım. xcom beklerken turn-based syndicate çıkacak.

konsola da tablete de çıkar sonra.

XCOM On The Run: Take command of the Avenger, an alien supply craft converted to XCOM's mobile headquarters. Guide your strike force around the world, build popular support and expose the aliens' sinister plans.

Recruit Resistance Fighters: Five soldier classes, each with its own skill tree including new class abilities like Momentum, let you create specific soldiers for your tactical plan.

Tactical Guerrilla Combat: New gameplay systems offer more tactical flexibility in combat. The state of the world affects each combat mission's environment. Use concealment to ambush enemy patrols. Loot enemies for precious gear and artefacts. Rescue VIPs and save fallen comrades by carrying them to the extraction point.

Each Mission is a Unique Challenge: Go on missions around the world, from wildlands to the heart of the alien-controlled megacities, to the depths of alien installations. There are virtually infinite combinations of maps missions, and goals.

Create Custom Mods: Community-focused tools allow you to create your own campaign, tactical gameplay, aliens, classes, strategy game features, and share within the Steam Workshop.

Engage in Head-to-Head Multiplayer: Mix-and-match squads of humans and aliens battle head-to-head on randomly-generated maps.

Biz underdog Xcom ekibi, guerilla warfare mi yapcaz?

Abi gozunu seveyim sartlar baya baya esit degil ki, eliyle koymus gibi bulur o helicarrieri alyen. Hadi gerilla falan cilgin katana cektin iyi hos sehir meydani ortasinda, baya cyberpunk hava var ortamda, kotu alyen-tech destekli megacorpun avlusuna evac icin koca shuttle indircen..? heh oldu.

Kim fund edecek Xcomu? Richard Bronson bitcoin mi atacak? yoksa l33t haxor skilleri mi dayayacaklar.

Jagged alliance/syndicate havasi verdi trailer bana ya. Oynarim elbet ama pek oyle "yusuf yusuf simdi yan bastik" havasi verecek bi atmosfer gibi gelmedi..

Esit sartlar degilki, 20 yilda alyen o kadar nufus ettiyse zaten GG yani ne gerillasi ne katanasi ne ucan helicarrieri..Xcomda tek avantaj bizim ev takimi olmamiz, reverse engineering ile sartlari esitlememizdi..burda is isten gecmis helvasini yemisler.

Neyse PC Exclusive olmasi supermis, umarim rahat kamera kontrolu guzel ui tasarimi falan yaparlar bu sefer.

EDIT: Traileri izlemeden once beklentim biraz daha bizim evsahibi takim olacagimiz yonunde, ne bileyim terror from deep olur, yada ancient bilmemne awakens olur, zerg istilasi olur falan..oyle bisiydi.

Xcom Apocalyse de okeyim ki bir nebze animsatiyor onu, ama daga cikmis gerilla olayi o kadar hightech istila icinde mehhh..neyse izleyelim gorelim.

Ehh..birde global dominasyon olmus 20 yil icinde..bizim mobil base'de alyentech-sanayi karisimi..ne uydu atarsin, ne de saklanirsin. Yorungede zaten zilyon tane mothership yoktur ya, Xcom cilgin gibi cirit atar. Sahane.

Kizilderililerin USA'ya comeback cekmesi gibi birsey bu. Hani benzetme bulamiyorum, Skynet/Resistance diyebilsem keske..
