It's night night time
It's night night time
It's night night night night time
It's night night time

Now close your eyes, start counting sheep
Make not a single peep
Soon you'll be drifting off to sleep
With many pleasant dreams to reap

It's night night time
It's night night time
It's night night night night time
It's night night time

Goodbye to the day that has past
Come and gone way too fast
Hello stars in heaven's great vast
Tomorrow will be here at last!

It's night night time
It's night night time
It's night night night night time
It's night night time

FEAR WITHIN THE NIGHT

What was that sound?
I sat up in my bed.
There it goes again,
It’s coming from upstairs.

I live alone,
No one goes upstairs.
There’s nothing up there,
I haven’t been upstairs in months.

I look at the clock on the nightstand,
It is a little past 4:00 A.M.
I could feel my pulse increase,
Someone is walking in my house.

I grabbed my phone,
It wasn’t working.
I began to panic,
My cell phone was in the car.

I wanted to go look around,
Dare I get out of bed?
What would I find?
What should I expect?

Maybe I imagined it,
I could have been dreaming.
The sound could have come from outside,
After all, I had been asleep.

There it goes again,
So much for my imagination.
Walking across my floor,
Upstairs, in my own house.

Ok, I have to do something,
I cannot just sit and wait.
What does this person want?
Is it known that I am here?

It is now 4:20,
And still I am sitting up in bed.
Now, I hear footsteps coming down the stairs,
Getting closer to me.

I hear water running,
Must now be in the kitchen.
So very close to me,
Why didn’t I buy that gun?

The door of the first bedroom opens,
It always did squeak.
Sweat was running down my forehead,
My pulse increased even more.

Who the hell is in my house?
How did someone get in?
The doors and windows are locked,
I remember setting the alarm.

I could hear the door next to my room open,
The faint sound of someone breathing.
I have got to do something,
I can’t simply sit and wait.

Finally the moment I feared,
The door opened to my bedroom.
I am looking through the doorway,
No one is there.

I glanced at the clock again,
It was now 5:10.
Still sitting up in bed,
Just waiting in fear.

I hear movement around me,
The drawer on the nightstand opens.
God, am I going crazy?
The drawer suddenly slams shut.

I want to get out of bed,
I can’t bring myself to do so.
Still hearing sounds throughout the house,
And yet, I just sit there.

Finally sunlight is shining through the windows,
A calmness sweeps over me.
Nothing has really changed,
But with light, comes courage.

I slowly crawl out of the bed,
I look all around the room.
No sounds from anywhere,
And nothing to be seen.

I slowly make my way through the house.
Walking from room to room.
Looking in all of the closets,
Closing each door behind me.

I checked every single window,
I checked every single door.
All of them were still locked,
And yes, my alarm is set.

I walked into my study,
And plopped into the chair at my desk.
Just sitting there, looking around the room,
Seeing nothing, but wondering what was there.

I looked at the clock on the wall,
It was now 7:30 A.M.
I am shaking uncontrollably,
And my heart is pounding heavily.

A fear is still consuming me,
But not of what has happened.
What I now fear most,
Is going to bed, tonight.

Seven a.m., waking up in the morning
Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs
Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal
Seein’ everything, the time is goin’
Tickin’ on and on, everybody’s rushin’
Gotta get down to the bus stop
Gotta catch my bus, I see my friends (My friends)

Kickin’ in the front seat
Sittin’ in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin’ down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend

Partyin’, partyin’ (Yeah)
Partyin’, partyin’ (Yeah)
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin’ forward to the weekend

7:45, we’re drivin’ on the highway
Cruisin’ so fast, I want time to fly
Fun, fun, think about fun
You know what it is
I got this, you got this
My friend is by my right, ay
I got this, you got this
Now you know it

Kickin’ in the front seat
Sittin’ in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin’ down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend

Partyin’, partyin’ (Yeah)
Partyin’, partyin’ (Yeah)
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin’ forward to the weekend

Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
Today i-is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)
