Star Wars Episode 1 - Duel of Fates (Çekildiği güne kadar ki en uzun dövüş sahnesi, genç Obi-Wan Sith ustasına ders veriyor)

Star Wars Episode 3 - Obi Wan vs. Anakin (En uzun kılıç dövüşü sahnelerinden, teknoloji harikasi.Aslında bunun doğrusu Obi-Wan vs. Vader olmalı ama :) )

Star Wars Episode 5 - Luke vs. Darth Vader (her ne kadar kazma gibi dövüşselerde felsefesi olan bir dövüştür :D )

Pirates of Carribean 2 - Bu sahnenin ismini bilmiyorum ama son bölümdeki üçlü dövüş :D

Ayrıca kılıç görüp orgazm olmak istiyorum diyorsan eğer The Last Samurai ve Kagemusha'yi izle abi.

last samurai izlediğim en FOSS filmlerden biriydi.
o dönemi yansıtan gerçekten güzel bi film ise Mibu gishi den'dir (When the last sword is drawn)

samurai filmleri tavsiyeleri hedesi..
[spo]Akira Kurosawa's "samurai" flicks:

7 Samurai & Ran are outstanding, I would put these at the top of your list if you're interested in Samurai films; Kagemusha is brilliant too, but I wouldn't recommend it as one of your first Kurosawa films. Throne Of Blood is thoroughly excellent, but it is a Shakespeare adaptation with what you might describe as fantasy elements, and so might not be what you're looking for when thinking of Samurai films - but be sure to watch it anyway.

For more straightforward action, try Yojimbo and Sanjuro. These are popcorn movies by Kurosawa's standards, and both are excellent, funny and thoroughly entertaining. And I guess the same goes for The Hidden Fortress (featuring an absolutely amazing duel scene with lances). I'm not sure of Rashomon's suitability in this thread, but it's so brilliant I can't help but mention it.

Kobayashi Masaki's films:

I regret not having seen more of them, but the aforementioned Seppuku aka Harakiri and "Samurai Rebellion" or simply Rebellion are absolutely superb - these should both be very high on your list IMO. Would love to see more from this director.

Others, in no partcular order:

You must see Inagaki Hiroshi's Samurai Trilogy, about the legend Miyamoto Musashi (played by Toshiro Mifune). An excellent character develops convincingly over three films, all with great action sequences (my favourite being part 2's finale) - a bit old-fashoned, but still brilliant.

I'd also highly recommend Cushingura - it is very long but worth the investment of time. This falls very much into the "serious" category, like Ran and Kagemusha IMO. There are loads of versions of this story, the only one I've seen being the 1962 version which is also directed by Inagaki and stars Mifune.

Someone has already mentioned Roningai, and I would second that - although the themes are similar, this film is quite unique mainly in being unafraid of showing the ugly sides of its "heroes." And lots of drunkenness.

Twilight Samurai and Hidden Blade are both great, although I was a bit disappointed that the second film is bascially the same story as the first and IMO the weaker of the two. Still, both very good - if you only go for one, make it Twilight.

If you're interested specifically in Samurai swordsmanship, you'll love Sword Of Doom (in fact if there are any other good films with a similar focus on swordplay, I'd love to know) - and even if you're not it is a truly fascinating film. By the same director is Red Lion, a surprisiingly different but no less effective film - a comedy with Mifune in the lead. Both are recommended.

The recent "When the Last Sword is Drawn" (Mibu Gishi Den) is viewed by some as being too emotionally manipulative, and I can see why it comes in for this criticism but still regard it as an excellent movie. And apart from anything else it's nice to see a huge Samurai epic with modern production values - shallow, I know, but it is hugely entertaining. Give it a try, see what you think - I loved it on first viewing and still do.

^^^ I actually forgot which board I was typing in! ^^^
Gotta leave that in as evidence of my stupidity :D

If you're into samurai films, I'd consider everything mentioned so far "essential viewing"

If you still need more:

These are good films, but I wouldn't go out of your way to find them before any of the above. Hideo Gosha made some great samurai movies of the simpler, more action-based variety. Three Outlaw Samurai and Goyokin stick in my mind as being particularly enjoyable.
UPDATE: Recently saw Sword Of The Beast by this director, and it was pretty good. Again, nothing here that isn't done better elsewhere, and it is a bit exploitative at times, but certainly worth watching.

I'd also look out for Samurai Assassin by the director of Red Lion & Sword Of Doom, a very serious (some would say depressing) tale, not dissimilar to Kobayashi's in tone - not in the same class IMO, but still very good. Also by this director is "Kill!" or Kiru which i have not seen, but which seems to be a popular recommendation from others (I believe it's an action/comedy). UPDATE - I have seen Kiru now, and I think it's overrated. It certainly has some brilliant scenes (mainly comedy, and mainly near the start & end), but I felt the pace fell apart and it became rather tedious in the central portion of the film as the (less effective) serious side of the story was explored. Certainly not bad, and it begins and ends well so it's easy to remember it fondly - but overall, not a high-priority recommendation from me.

Ame Agaru or "After the Rain" was, I think, written by Kurosawa and made after his death - it's quite a simple tale which i would liken to Twilight Samurai/Hidden Blade, a beautiful film and definitely worth a look.

Battle Royale director Kinji Fukasaku made some good ones: Shogun's Samurai aka Yagyu Conspiracy is pretty decent, one of many takes on legendary samurai Yagyu Jubei's life; another of his films featuring the same family is Makai Tensho - Samurai Reincarnation, a fantasy-action movie (executed Chritian samurai come back from the dead to get revenge), based on real people and *definitely* not historically accurate, very silly but quite good fun.

OFF-TOPIC: Again, not really suitable for this thread, but I can't mention Kinji *beep* and neglect "Battles Without Honour and Humanity" his five-film series about the yakuza. Can be found in the west in a set called "The Yakuza Papers" - excellent.

Not recommended:

I'm glad to say I can't bring many poor samurai films to mind. The only two I can think of are Shinsengumi aka Band Of Assassins - an interesting story and good performances, but I found the pacing awful and the film didn't grab me at all - and the 2003 remake of Makai Tensho - it does have some decent scenes and visuals, but it is garbage on the whole.

UPDATE: Add to this list Samurai Spy, quite the worst samurai flick I've ever seen. Dull B-movie plot, mostly uninteresting characters and some truly laughable action scenes. Awful.[/spo]
