Saeros Mesaj tarihi: Kasım 28, 2018 Konuyu açan Paylaş Mesaj tarihi: Kasım 28, 2018 “Of all the ways to lose a person, death is the kindest.”[hr] “Thank you, Mister Eichron.” The old paladin took a small sip of his tea, swallowing the warm liquid with care. He rested the metal mug on the ground and mustered a smile for the young soldier across the campfire before closing his eyes with a hand on his abdomen. His bandages were already soaked; a deep, ugly red covered his armour and his belt. He laid his head down on the rugged cloak, which was now rolled up to serve as a pillow. Liam peered at him with a worried gaze, but forced a smile of his own. He had done all he could for the old paladin, but there were times when mortal hands were tied by fate. “Anything else I can do for you, Sir Arrin?” Arrin could hear the hopelessness in his voice, hidden beneath kindness and a desire to do good. It made him smile. “Have you ever fallen in love, Mister Eichron?” “Yes,” Liam replied with a bit of stutter, taken off-guard by the question. The Argent gave a faint nod. “Then you will understand.” He lifted his head and looked down as he dug out a piece of parchment, holding it between his two fingers. “For my wife.” Liam rushed to Sir Arrin’s side and accepted the parchment to carefully store it in one of his pockets, nodding once. “And this is for you." His hands closed around a leather scabbard as Liam found Sir Arrin’s claymore resting against his chest, with the old paladin’s eyes watching him. “You fought well today, Mister Eichron. May the Light be with you - always.” Arrin’s hand fell, leaving the sword in Liam’s embrace. His last breath wheezed through his lungs as his head slumped over his shoulder. The sun slowly sank into a burning horizon, its rays caressing the old paladin’s sunken face for the last time before darkness took him, covering him like a loving mother tucking in her child. Liam felt frozen in time as he watched Sir Arrin resting in peace with his lifeless hand still clutching the metal mug. [hr] Liam woke up next to a tombstone the next day, exhausted after riding through the night. His eyes trailed over the words on the stone. KATELYN MILLER (564-607) FAITHFUL WIFE, LOVING FRIEND May the Light keep you safe until we meet again. His gaze stuck on the stone, the young soldier stood still as clouds gathered in the sky. Behind him, he could feel the city waking up after the cold night, shivering faintly as it welcomed the new day. His hand found the small parchment that was left in his care, his head lowered as he read the words out loud. After the war perhaps I'll sit again Out on the terrace where I sat with you, And see the changeless sky and hills beat blue And live an afternoon of summer through. I shall remember then, and sad at heart For the lost day of happiness we knew, Wish only that some other woman were you And spoke my name as once you used to do. Westfall’daki Legion invasion’da geçiyor olay. Liam daha sonra bu olayın etkisiyle Argent Crusade’e katılıp Broken Shore’a gidiyor. Link to comment Sosyal ağlarda paylaş Daha fazla paylaşım seçeneği…

Saeros Mesaj tarihi: Kasım 28, 2018 Konuyu açan Paylaş Mesaj tarihi: Kasım 28, 2018 “Only the dead have seen the end of war.”[hr] The paladin exhaled a tired sigh as he leaned on his claymore to support himself, straightening his back with a groan. Clad in steel armour that covered him from head to toe, he stood still amidst mud and blood for a moment before removing his helmet, letting a gale wind run its fingers through his long, matted hair and fill his nostrils with the smell of freshly purged demons. He rubbed his face with a clenched hand, wiping some of the blood and dirt to reveal a tired, youthful face. His warm brown eyes, now unusually somber, turned towards the tortured earth of the Broken Shore, his head lowered in respect for the fallen. Battered legguards soon sank into the ground as exhaustion set in and forced the young paladin down to his knees. He buried his face into his hand with his cheek resting against the flat of his sword, tears flowing down his face as his body trembled, casting off the built-up tension after another bitter victory. How many had died this time? How many sons, how many daughters, how many friends and loved ones had joined the Light’s embrace? With red, swollen eyes, he looked at the still body lying merely a few feet away from him, and reached over to close the empty eyes that stared at the fel-cursed sky. He wanted to believe they were at peace now in the Light. He wanted to believe there was a reason to all this. Moments later he found himself on his feet, peering at their faces as he walked amongst his brothers and sisters, their bodies butchered and maimed. He felt as if he was torn to pieces, his being shattered and scattered around the field. Ignoring the throbbing pain at his side he climbed a peak in the ground, a small hill above the carnage, where he was finally able to breathe without inhaling a soul. His lips moved with a quiet prayer to the Light, hoping to bring peace to the fallen and thus to his own. It kept him breathing as the sun began to peak over the edge of the world, like a friend trying to comfort the young paladin. It didn’t bring life to the blood-soaked rocks under his feet, but it erased the piercing doubt in his mind and set him to sleeping. bu da karakterin Argent Crusade'e katıldıktan sonra Broken Shore'da geçirdiği zamandan bi kesit Link to comment Sosyal ağlarda paylaş Daha fazla paylaşım seçeneği…
