System Support Engineer

Requirements:
-B. Sc. Degree in Computer, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent disciplines,
-Experince in OSS domain
-HP-UX knowledge, linux knowledge is a plus.
-Understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN/WAN , Routing.
-Understanding of ticket handling, paging, escalationmethodlogies
-Team player and able to work on own initiative
-Willing to work in 7/24 support organization

Job Description:

We are seeking for “System Support Engineer” for our R&D company to work for an Alcatel-Lucent project. The candidates will work primarily in Alcatel-Lucent Teletaş Ankara office.

Successfull candidate will be a part of Alcatel-Lucent System Integration team based in Ankara . Main responsibilities will be the following:
-Maintenance of the OSS systems including operating system, database and application
-Interfacing with customer, implement first level support, escalate if necessary

Requirements :
University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics or equivalent experience,
1-2 years experience in software testing,
Familiar with the software testing methodology,
ISEB/ISTQB/TMAP Certification in Software Testing is a plus,
ITIL Certification is a plus,
Knowledge and/or experience in Unix and/or Linux systems,

Test Management Tool experience (preferably in Quality Center),

Job Description :
The scope of responsibility from Validation point of view is:
* Test Strategy development, Test Design, Test Environment Preperations/Adaptations, Test Executions and Defect Management.
* Demonstration of POCs (Proof of Concepts) of the requirements for acceptance to the customer.
The scope of responsibility from Characterization point of view is to:
* Understand NE specifications and analyse OS, DB and/or NBI interfaces and figure out retrieval mechanisms for each parameter in NE modelling.
* Prepare characterization document for the NEs and provide to development as an input.
* Give NE specific support during development & Test & development cycles.

Successfull candidate will be positioned in Ankara under Alcatel-Lucent premises.

Strong Knowledge on Solaris Operating System
Familiar with backup&recovery concepts
Knowledge on Oracle Database, RAC, DataGuard
Knowledge on middleware applications(weblogic etc.)
Knowledge on Solaris Zones, Virtualization, SAN
Knowledge of IP networking
Related certification is a plus(SCSA,OCA etc.)
Knowledge on HP and Oracle HW will be a plus
Fluency in English

Must have excellent working experience with SVM, ZFS, NFS
Must have strong scripting capabilities(bash, ksh,perl)
Must have excellent working experience on Virtualization, Storage, SAN, Network
Must have excellent working experience on Oracle11g, RAC, RMAN, Dataguard.
Must have excellent working experience on Weblogic middleware applications
Knowledge of Linux administration is a plus
