BlackRose Mesaj tarihi: Eylül 19, 2004 Paylaş Mesaj tarihi: Eylül 19, 2004 Dark Age of Camelot: "Catacombs" Introducing the Zealot Executive Producer Matt Firor answers a slew of question on the upcoming expansion, and the new Albion Class September 3rd, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camelot Vault: A big part of your new expansion, Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs is the character model overhaul. Do you have any more details about how the new character models can be configured to add more variety between characters? Matt Firor: Yes, now that we're well into development on Catacombs, we're starting to get a good technical handle on what the new character models will support. We've added several morph points to each face - the exact location of which depends on the race of the character - that gives the player the opportunity to use slider bars to alter that particular part of the character's face. Examples of potential morph points on character models are eye size, nose length, nose width, jowl width, brow ridge depth, etc. We're also allowing players to choose a skin tint (within a range of available tints that varies based on race), as well as eye color and facial hair, and even tattoos in some cases. Remember, all these options will vary based on the race that you are configuring - not all options will be available on all races. Camelot Vault: Are the new models going to impact the game's client frame rate? Matt Firor: Actually, our current thought is that the new models will actually speed up frame rate a bit, since we've streamlined the number of geometries that are in each model. We'll have to wait for the large beta test to really see if this is the case, but our early tests have been very positive. Camelot Vault: Will players have the option of not displaying the new models and just use the old ones? Matt Firor: Yes, although the toggle will be between viewing all of the new models or all of the old ones - you won't be able to pick and choose on a race by race basis, because of limitations of the way we load the models and their textures in memory. Camelot Vault: So we heard that you are adding more classes to Hibernia and Midgard than to Albion. Why? Matt Firor: Over time - Camelot launched almost three years ago - the Realm of Albion has shown to have a higher average population than the other two realms. So, with Catacombs, we are encouraging players to create a new Catacombs character in a Realm other than Albion. Our current plan is to have one new class for Albion and two each for Midgard and Hibernia. Camelot Vault: Are the "extra" classes being added to Hibernia and Midgard special in any way? Matt Firor: Yes. Our current plan is to have one "standard" class per Realm in Catacombs, and then Midgard and Hibernia get one extra "special" class. These classes will be limited to females only and are, incidentally, two of the most-requested classes back when we were first designing Camelot that we never implemented. Camelot Vault: Can you tell us what any of the new classes are yet? Matt Firor: I'm happy to say - for the first time in public - that Albion's new class will be called the Zealot. The backstory for this class is that it starts out as a member of the Church of Albion (as an Acolyte), but at 5th level renounces the Church and becomes and adherent of Arawn, the lord of the underworld who was introduced in the Shrouded Isles expansion - and becomes in effect, an evil Cleric. Zealots will be able to use flexible weapons , but will be restricted to cloth armor as well as small shields. As evil Clerics, they fit into the fighter/mage/cleric hybrid category, with the use of combat styles and high-damage focus spells. It'll bring a unique combination of abilities to the game. As for the other four classes, you all will have to wait a bit. Camelot Vault: How is development going on Catacombs right now, and when do you plan on launching the expansion? Matt Firor: We're in the thick of integrating the new character models, character creator, and content right now. It's going well, and we expect to launch the expansion in early December 2004. Camelot Vault: One item players have been requesting, especially now that Catacombs is adding new classes, is more character slots. Are you planning on adding any more character storage for this expansion? Matt Firor: Yes, we are planning on adding new character slots - two more, for ten total. You'll have to purchase Catacombs to access the extra slots. Camelot Vault: We've heard some rumors about a Camelot fan gathering coming up soon - can you give us more details? Matt Firor: Absolutely! We're really excited about our upcoming Camelot Roundtable in Las Vegas. This is only our second official fan event, and we hope to have these far more often. On the weekend of September 24 Link to comment Sosyal ağlarda paylaş Daha fazla paylaşım seçeneği…

Nyrio Mesaj tarihi: Eylül 20, 2004 Paylaş Mesaj tarihi: Eylül 20, 2004 Albion's new class is the Zealot, a Dark Priest/Evil Cleric class. It starts out as a member of the Church of Albion (as an Acolyte), but at fifth level renounces the Church and becomes an adherent of Arawn, the lord of the underworld who was introduced in the Shrouded Isles expansion. Zealots will be able to use flexible weapons, but will be restricted to cloth armor as well as small shields. As evil Clerics, they fit into the fighter/mage/cleric hybrid category, with the use of combat styles and high-damage focus spells. Originating from a cult that lived underground in caves beneath the Realm of Midgard, Warlocks are robe-wearing worshippers of Hel who have mastered the art of spell weaving. They have three types of spells: Primary spells (Cursing Spec), Secondary spells (Hexing Spec), and Utility spells (witchcraft). Warlock Primary spells take about twice as long to cast as regular spells in the game - however, anytime the Warlock casts a primary spell, they can (at no cost) add in a secondary spell that will land at the same time as the primary. This allows Warlocks to mix and match pairs of spells to fit whatever situation they find themselves in http://catacombs.darkageofcamelot.com/features/classes.php[signature][hline]Little 50 friar (RIP) Nurse 50 cleric (RIP) Sarisin 50 skald (DELETED) Sarisin 50 merc (DELETED) Bonussimo 50 Savage (ilerde bunuda silerim) Link to comment Sosyal ağlarda paylaş Daha fazla paylaşım seçeneği…
