3 pages of posts, not one post that contains any usefull information to help anyone investigate the problem. Remember that posts that only consist of Bump and Me To don't help anyone, nor does go in a way to provide information that may come in handy.

The first thing that you should try when investigating disconnections is that you have check that non of the add-ons you are using may be to blame. Locate your World of Warcraft installation folder and delete or move the directories named WTF, Cache and Interface.

Make sure that the game is closed before removing these folders. Restart the game without any add-ons running and check to see if the same problem occurs.

You can also try resetting your DNS and refresh the IP you are using, this may help in some cases.

- Click the Start button then select Run
- In the text box type CMD
- In the DOS window that appears type the following ipconfig /flushdns

This will quickly refresh the DNS Table, check to see if you are able to connect to your chosen server.
You can also try renewing your IP address, using the same steps above use the following commands instead
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

If you are using a modem/router connection, try powering down the device for 30 minutes, then power up again and see if there is any improvements to the affected characters.

Some connection problems have been known to be caused when an internet connection is not using the correct MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) value. This value determines the size of packets your network device can send and receive, if an invalid value is used, connection problems can appear.

1500 = Used in Cable Broadband connection and some Wireless connections
1492 = Standard ADSL value
1458 = Troubleshooting value used by some ISPS
1400 = Used by AOL customers

Most modern routers will allow you to modify the MTU, when you are logged into the router administration page. If you are unsure where to locate this value then please contact the manufacture of that router for further assistance.

Please also bare in mind that if you alter the MTU value on your router it is generally a good idea to also reflect this change with the network device your computer is using to connect to the router.

If you are using a Ethernet or wireless network card you can change that devices MTU using DR TCP a freeware program.

1. Download it here http://www.dslreports.com/drtcp, choosing the zip file or the exe file at the top of the page.
2. Run the utility.
3. In the Adapter Settings pull down, select the Ethernet driver and adapter used to connect with the network.
4. In the MTU box, type the MTU size you are trying.
5. Click in any other box, without changing the data there.
6. Click Save.
7. Click Exit.
8. Restart the computer

The following World of Warcraft realms are currently unstable due to technical issues:

Auchindoun
Ghostlands
Hellfire
Karazhan
Nagrand
Shattered Halls
Sporeggar
The Sha'tar

The issue is that these realms are sometimes shown as being offline, even though they are not. You will sometimes see it as offline, and sometimes as online.

We are working to resolve this as soon as possible and will keep you updated. Thank you for your understanding.
