Homeworld 2 Goes Gold

Homeworld 2, sequel to the famous 3D deep-space realtime strategy game, has gone gold and will ship on September 16, developer Relic Entertainment announced today. Three weeks or so will thus have to elapse before fans can try out the sequel's new campaign, additional ships, and expanded multiplayer battles for up to six competing space fleets.
"Homeworld 2 takes our commitment to quality to the next level, by including a number of visual improvements, as well as refinements to the gameplay and user-interface," said Dan Irish, executive producer. "We're excited to deliver the next chapter in the Homeworld saga, and are looking forward to seeing the fans' reactions to our improvements of the series."
