We have now been testing for 2 days in beta 6 and as often before getting the wheel turning at the beginning of a phase has been a bit tricky, to say the least. We are still running on an old hardware setup, with the delivery of new machinery not expected until later this month. This will solve many of our problems experienced by our testers this week, like when they were downloading the game for hours or trying to connect on a link that actually is shared, at the moment, between both gameplay and download. The download usage has been such, with thousands of testers downloading the game, that playing has been quite difficult at times and laggy. It has therefore been difficult to connect and get in to play.

Last night we also confronted some problems, with database index errors making us limit the access to game while we were debugging and finding a solution. We are also facing some memory leek problems that are currently under scrutany. The database index problems have now been resolved and we will carry on testing as before and debugging to turn this situation around. We are also initiating our event program – with implementation of small persistent market events to start off with and will follow that up with more specific events later on.

So, watch that EVE event space!
