Assassination
The Assassination tree revolves around talents which increase our damage and combo point generation. The talents found here are some of the most popular. No matter which build one may choose, they are bound to find a few talents that will complement their build.

Improved Eviscerate:
One of the few talents found in just about every build. Eviscerate can unload a lot of damage when we have 5 combo points to throw into it. Whether it's for PvE or PvP, Eviscerate is one of our strongest attacks in terms of pure damage.

Remorseless Attack:
This talent gives us a 20 second buff after killing a mob worth exp or killing a player. It isn't for everybody as it is a very situational talent. Most players will rarely put this talent to use in PvP. For PvE it requires a small camp in which you can travel from mob to mob quickly for it to be of any real use.

Malice:
A passive talent that increases a rogue's crit chance by up to 5% is not something to ignore. While 5% may not seem like a large increase it adds up to a significant amount when you have other crit chance talents as well. Many rogues will try to incorporate this talent into their build.

Ruthlessness:
This talent gives you up to a 60% chance to gain a combo point after using a finishing move. This gives you a head start on generating combo points for the next finisher. Some rogues pick their talents to generate combo points fast during a fight and this talent suits it perfectly.

Murder:
This is a decent one for those who use the skills this talent affects. Every rogue will at least use Cheap Shot and that alone may be enough to pick this talent up. It is only 2 points at that so having your chance to hit increased by 5% may be worth such a small cost. However it isn't a mandatory talent. If you only use Cheap Shot and have a better place for those 2 points then by all means put them there instead.

Improved Slice and Dice:
A talent that works very well in PvE over PvP or with builds which incorporate Blade Flurry. However, all this talent does is increase the duration of your SnD. Not many will find a use for it as for the most part a 1-2 point SnD without it will last the entire fight anyway. Taking this talent does increase the duration of your 1-2 point SnD to the point where 1-2 points is all you'll ever need in any fight, excluding Instance bosses.

Relentless Strikes:
If you are one of those rogues who constantly unloads 5 point finishers than this talent will work great for you. For spending 1 point in a talent (If you took Ruthlessness), this is a wonderful talent. Every time you unload a 5 point Eviscerate or Kidney Shot you gain 25 energy.

Improved Expose Armor:
In all honestly, this talent was never very useful. In most cases there wouldn't be a reason to use Expose armor, unless we're dealing an Instance boss and even then a warrior’s Sunder Armor works better. There should be no reason to pick up this talent unless you are using it as filler to get a higher tier talent.

Lethality:
This talent was made for the rogue who wants to land hard crits needs this talent. Many rogues work their way into the Assassination tree just to pick this one up as it helps every build. We're meant to do damage and this talent gives us a 30% boost whenever we crit.

Vile Poisons:
In most cases this talent is used as filler in order to get a higher tier talent. However for some rogues who wants to use a more unique build such as a DoT build then this is one key talent.

Improved Instant Poisons:
Usually used as filler unless you go for a DoT build. Although some rogues do find this talent a little more useful. You should not underestimate how much of our damage comes from poisons PvE but this is going to be more useful PvE than it would PvP.

If you choose one of these to get to Cold Blood/Seal Fate, choose Improved Instant Poison. Although it gives a lower number in the %, it amounts to a bigger effect. Where Vile Poisons (at 5/5) increases damage 15%, IIP increases hit rate by 10%. But since the base rate of instant poison application is 20%, +10% to that is actually a 50% net increase! IIP does much more damage improvement for non-DOT builds.

Improved Kidney Shot:
Kidney shot has a longer cooldown when compared to all of our other finishers and it is a very useful skill hence a number of rogues can justify taking this talent. It isn't a bad talent to have and many times you'll find yourself lucky that you shortened the cooldown by up to 5 seconds but it comes down to preference as some would find it a waste of points.

This talent suffers badly from the diminishing returns code. For those who don't know, applying any stun-type effect within 15 s

Combat
The Combat tree provides rogues with talents that help us survive in combat as well as talents that increase our mastery of the weapons available to them. For the more melee oriented rogue what enjoys fighting toe to toe, some of these talents increases our chances of winning those fights.

Improved Gouge:
Depending on your build you can find this talent a must take or of no use. Gouge is a short stun that allows a rogue to regain some energy and set the target up for a backstab. However, the stun can break prematurely if the target takes any damage. Any backstab build will have this talent but builds that don't use backstab as their main attack will more often put points into another talent.

Improved Sinister Strike:
The main attack for every rogue is Sinister Strike but how often each rogue uses it comes down to the build they decide on. Regardless of the build, if you pick up any talents in the Combat tree you should take this as you will always use Sinister Strike in a fight.

Lightning Reflexes:
An increased dodge rate is always welcome so this is usually not a bad talent to pick up or if you plan on heading to the upper tiers of the Combat tree you will more than likely take this along the way.

Improved Backstab:
A must have talent for anybody who wishes to bury their daggers into the back of the unsuspecting. This talent in addition to your normal crit rate can put you up to at least a 45% chance of critting with backstab. I'm underestimating though; more often than not it will be higher with a well equipped rogue and other talents that increase crit rate.

Deflection:
Another talent that helps a rogue survive combat, any talent that helps us live is a good one. Also with this being a prerequisite to Riposte it is a popular talent for the Combat rogues.

Precision:
A combat rogue is meant to hold his own in a toe to toe fight and that means landing each hit counts. Precision may only be a 5% increase to your hit rate at most but that 5% can make the difference. Truthfully, there is little question on whether or not to take this for a combat rogue since if you want to work your way up to the upper tier talents you have to spend them in the lower tier talents as well.

Improved Evasion:

This is one of the worse talents we have to choose from. Our evasion lasting 2-4 seconds longer will often mean very little. Evasion is by no means a guaranteed chance of our enemy missing and the 2-4 seconds will at most give us a higher chance of dodging 2 attacks if that person uses a fast weapon.

Riposte:
Not every rogue may like this talent but it is a rather nice one for a combat build. We don't have a high parry chance to begin with so this skill won't be used as often as our other skills but it's a fun skill to have when we do get to use it. However if your opponent has a Weapon Chain enchantment on their weapon this skill won't work either.

Improved Sprint:

Many will agree that this talent is really not needed but I suppose you can argue taking this talent in a very rare case but more often than not it is of very little use.

Improved Kick:
This talent can prove to be somewhat useful. A 2 second silence may not seem very long but it is a good amount of time if the fight only lasts 10 seconds. It isn't worth going up the Combat tree just to get it but if you're already working your way through it, it might come in handy from time to time. Of course your points could probably be spent on another talent but to each their own.

Dagger Specialization:
One of the four weapon specialization talents in the Combat tree; needless to say if you intend to use only daggers then this talent works great.

Dual Wield Specialization:
If you've worked this far up the Combat tree you are probably going to get the upper tier talents as well. If that is the case then picking this talent up is definitely worth doing. All rogues must dual wield and increasing the damage of our off hand is never a bad thing.

Mace Specialization:
Another one of our weapon specialization talents, if you intend on using only maces then this is a must have. Usually you should proc the stun at least once a fight so it comes in very useful.

Blade Flurry:

This talent in combination with SnD and Adrenaline Rush works wonders for a combat rogue with heavy hitting weapons. Many rogues who spec in Combat are working their way up the tree just for this talent.

Sword Specialization:
Just like the other weapon specializations, if you like swords then this one is for you.

Fist Weapon Specialization:
Our last weapon specialization talent, at the time of my writing this guide it is quite a worthless talent. Not because it isn't any good but because of the lack of fist weapons in the game. There are so few that getting your hands on a good fist weapon end g

Subtlety
The Subtlety tree has talents which compliment every rogue who wishes to be sneaky. For most rogues that wish to stay in the shadows, the early on talents here increases our chances of not being detected by the wandering eye. The later talents here are not suited for every rogue but some creative individuals will find uses for them.

Rapid Concealment:
Decreasing your stealth cooldown by 5 seconds isn't too much of a concern to get this talent. Not to mention the first 5 points in the Subtlety tree can be better spent in either one of the other two tier 1 talents.

Master of Deception:
Each point in MoD effectively gives you +3 to your stealth skill so at rank 5 you effectively have three extra levels in terms of stealth. All rogues that go into the Subtlety tree have to decide between MoD and Camo. In the end it comes down to preference. Both are very useful skills and either one will help.

Camouflage:
Some say, it isn't that you can be detected that is a problem; it is what you can do about it before they take you out of stealth. Camo doesn't make us any stealthier directly but it provides us with a speed boost in stealth. At 60 with Camo at rank 5 we can move at 85% speed in stealth. A lot of times, people may accidentally come across you while stealthed and be tipped off by the "Woosh" noise but won't know where to find you. The speed boost here often allows you an easier time getting to the target when they know you're around.

Elusiveness:
This talent serves no real purpose in a fight. All it does is lessen your downtime in between fights if you rely on skills like Evasion, Vanish and Blind. If you’re careful and patient you should never need to worry about the downtime of those skills.

Opportunity:
If you intend on using BS and Ambush this talent is almost a must. When you go for a BS/Ambush type build you are going to be relying on the initial strike to do a good portion of your damage, which is why this is such a great talent for it.

Initiative:
Another talent to increase our combo generation, every rogue will open with at least Cheap Shot so this is a talent to consider if you are working in the Subtlety tree. If you can spare the points it works great in combination with Seal Fate.

Ghostly Strike:

This talent in general can be quite useful; however throwing out 50 energy on it, is pretty costly. In most cases you can spend that point in a better place but if you intend to go for Setup then you have no choice but to put it here.

Improved Garrote:
Garrote in general is often ignored in PvP since most rogues will open with Cheap Shot and in some cases Ambush. Unless you have a specific reason to open with Garrote, which probably won't happen often, this talent won't be of any use.

Improved Ambush:
Just like Improved BS, if you intend on a BS/Ambush build then this talent is a must. At rank 3 it'll increase your crit rate where you'll more often than not crit on your target.

Improved Vanish:

Vanish will get you out of trouble but you'll retain your normal stealth speed and if you took Camo you should be moving fast enough. There will be very few situations where you'll need another speed boost and the Vanish state only lasts 10 seconds.

Improved Rupture:
For a DoT rogue this talent is an extremely nice one. Rupture alone does a significant amount of damage at the end of its duration. With the 30% increase in damage at rank 3 it deals out comparable damage as a 5 point Evis and it ignores armor. However, that is if it lasts the length of its duration.

Improved Sap:

One of the talents that makes being a rogue fun. Sap can be a very useful tool in our arsenal in PvE and PvP. Taking this talent gives us up to a 90% chance to stay stealthed after using Sap on a target. For PvE it means you won't have a bunch of mobs chasing you if you pulled. In PvP, you'll still have the option to use a opener on your other target. Sap in general does have its faults though and should be kept in mind when you decide if you want this talent or not.

Preparation:
One of the best talents in the Subtlety tree. The ability to reset all your cooldown abilities isn't just for convenience but it can affect how you fight difficult opponents. The fact that you can Vanish, Blind, and use other abilities with long cooldowns twice in a fight can give you a big advantage.

Improved Cheap Shot:
While this isn't a talent to go into the Subtlety tree just so you can get it, it is a nice one to pick up if you are trying to get to a higher tier talent. Since you will be starting most of your fights with Cheap Shot, taking 20 energy off of it means you'll have extra energy for another attack.

Improved Distract:
There really is little point in looking into this talent. Distract is a terrific skill but it doesn't mean the talent is

Talent Builds
There are a number of builds that one can come up with but the best one comes down to what the player thinks best suits his playstyle. Often new rogues ask, "Which build is best?" and it may be a valid question but not one that can be given an answer. For every rogue we have our own definition of what makes a build the best one. Generally because it is the one that best compliments the way we play. Anybody can take a bunch of skills given to him and use them but when you put together a build, you know the reasons why you have each talent and how to use them. This section should be used as a guideline when you first start putting together your build. Don't be afraid to stray off from what is written here. Just because it's here doesn't mean its the best build there is for its type. If you find something that works better, then by all means use it.

BS/Ambush Build AKA 30/8/13 or 31/8/12
Suggested Talents: Imp Evis, Lethality, Cold Blood, Seal Fate, Imp SS, Imp Gouge, Imp BS, Opportunity, Imp Ambush
PvE:This build does fairly well for solo hunting but it really shines in a group with a tank holding aggro. A combat build does a little better than us when it comes to soloing but when we're grouped we can pull ahead by quite a bit in terms of damage. Our BS does some mean damage, especially when the mob constantly has its back turned to us.

PvP:We're meant to get the quick kill here out in the battle field. Which is why we focus on skills with a high damage capability. I personally believe that the less time we spend visible the better. We may rely on our crits so at times become unreliable in damage but it is a chance we take for the pay off of ending fights within a couple of seconds.

Example:
Assassination Mastery
Improved Eviscerate Rank 3
Malice Rank 5
Ruthlessness Rank 3
Murder Rank 2
Improved Slice and Dice Rank 2
Relentless Strikes Rank 1
Lethality Rank 5
Improved Kidney Shot Rank 3
Cold Blood Rank 1
Seal Fate Rank 5
Assassination Total: 30

Combat Mastery
Improved Gouge Rank 3
Improved Sinister Strike Rank 2
Improved Backstab Rank 3
Combat Total: 8

Subtlety Mastery
Camouflage Rank 5
Opportunity Rank 5
Improved Ambush Rank 3
Subtlety Total: 13

Combat/Assassination Mix
Suggested Talents: Imp Evis, Lethality, Cold Blood, Seal Fate, Imp SS, Imp Gouge, Imp BS, Dagger Specialization, Blade Flurry
PvE:This build has the ability to cover each situation fairly well when you are able to get to the back of the mob and when you are not. Daggers may not put out much damage compared to a mace/sword but the speed and the poisons in this build can add up to a decent sum of damage.

PvP:Again, you are not limited to relying on BS or on SS in PvP either. You won't kill as quick as you would with a BS build but you will come close. When it comes to toe to toe combat, you'll be taking a chance here. Daggers are fairly weak with each initial hit but with the SnD and Blade Flurry along with poisons you can stack up a large amount of damage, especially when you crit. Depending if you are in a position to stealth or not, you are set for either occassion.

Example:
Assassination Mastery
Improved Eviscerate Rank 3
Malice Rank 5
Ruthlessness Rank 3
Murder Rank 2
Relentless Strikes Rank 1
Lethality Rank 5
Improved Instant Poison Rank 5
Cold Blood Rank 1
Seal Fate Rank 5
Assassination Total: 30

Combat Mastery
Improved Gouge Rank 3
Improved Sinister Strike Rank 2
Improved Backstab Rank 3
Deflection Rank 2
Precision Rank 5
Dagger Specialization Rank 5
Blade Flurry Rank 1
Combat Total: 21

Combat/SS build
Suggested Talents: Imp Evis, Imp SS, Weapon Specialization, Blade Flurry, Adrenaline Rush
PvE:This tends to be a terriffic build for PvE as your min damage is never too low and your crits is usually pretty decent. This also does even better in instances as the longer the fights lasts, your DPS increases even higher.

PvP:Don't expect to end your fights in 2-3 shots but because of how this build is you can survive a longer fight. In fact, the longer fights means you can lay down some serious hurt on your target. Each individual attack with a mace/sword is a decent amount of damage and with talents like Adren Rush and Blade Flurry you can do a large amount of damage fairly quickly.

Example:
Assassination Mastery
Improved Eviscerate Rank 3
Malice Rank 5
Ruthlessness Rank 3
Improved Slice and Dice Rank 1
Relentless Strikes Rank 1
Lethality Rank 5
Assassination Total: 18

Combat Mastery
Improved Sinister Strike Rank 2
Lightning Reflexes Rank 5
Deflection Rank 5
Precision Rank 5
Riposte Rank 1
Dual Wield Specialization Rank 5
Mace Specialization Rank 5
Blade Flurry Rank 1
Aggression Rank 3
Adrenaline Rush Rank 1
Combat Total: 33

DoT build
Suggested Talents: Vile Poison

Benim wow rogue forumlarından okuduğum mainhand için dps'nin önemli olmadığı damage'in önemli olduğu, offhand içinse dps'nin ve hızın önemli olduğu çünkü eğer combat talent'larından dual wield seçilmezse offhand'in verdiği damage main hand'in %50 daha azı oranında. Dual Wield seçilirse iki elden de aynı damage'i veriyorsun fakat bu seferde miss oranın yükseliyor(yanlış hatırlamıyorsam %15 oranında). Kısacası ana ele yüksek dmg veren silah, off'a ise hızlı silah tercih ediliyor.
