I wanted to ask you one question,At the 2000 Allstar Slam Dunk Contest u made alot of new fans from your amazing dunks,i was just wondering are u ever going to in the future enter the contest again?

A: Thanks for the compliment. It always amazes me when someone tells me that I’m their favorite player in the NBA. There are just so many players in the league that I love to watch, that it’s hard for me to think of myself that way too. The Dunk Contest is a bit of a tough question for me to answer right now. I know that a lot of people want to see me in it again, and I’d like to do it again to thank all of my fans for their support, but I have a lot of other considerations right now that I didn’t have during the 2000 season. First and foremost, I have to consider my health. My knee has been bothering me quite a bit this season, and that leads to my second consideration. I have to make sure that I am not doing anything that will hurt my team, and if I’m not healthy, I definitely won’t be able to help my team. So right now, I’ll answer your question like this: I plan to enter the dunk contest again at some point in my career as a “thank you” to my fans for their support, but at this moment, the Raptors and our championship goals come first.
