Password protect Internet Explorer? Password Protect Firefox? Password Protect Netscape? Password Protect Outlook? Password protect any internet connection. You can use Internet Lock to password protect the internet access. You also can use Internet Lock to deny access to any TCP port, or prevent any program from accessing internet.

Internet Lock is an access control and password protection software for your Internet and intranet connections, it can deny or password protect any program to access the Internet/intranet on any TCP/IP port. Internet Lock works with the "RULES" mode: you can add one or more rules to the software to control its works. A rule normally has such format: [Allow/Deny/Password Protect] [Program] on [Port].
Internet Lock allow you to fully control the access to the internet for each program and each port, it also supports schedule feature.
For example: the most use rule [Password Protect] [Any Program] on Port [80] will password protect all the web browsers included Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, MyIE2 etc. This is because that all the web browsers will use port 80 to access internet.
Internet Lock version 4.0 provides the way to protect port range, you can use the new rule format "[Allow/Deny/Password Protect] [Program] on [Start Port] to [End Port]" to let the rule to protect all the ports in the range of the start port and end port.

- Password protect Internet connection.

Internet Lock can password protect any program and/or any port to the internet connection, it will ask for password when you want to access the internet use the program or port you have defined in the rules.

- Control internet connection.

You can use Internet Lock to prevent any program from access the internet, or prevent all programs from access internet but only allow one or more program to access internet.
You also can deny any TCP/IP port from your internet connection, only allow the ports you want.

- Supports Schedule feature.

You can set the schedule option for each rule.

Normal Tasks

- Password Protect all web browsers included Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape etc:

Add 2 rules:

1. [Deny] [C:WINDOWSEXPLORER.EXE] on Port [80].
2. [Password Protect] [Any Program] on Port [80].

Note the "C:WINDOWSEXPLORER.EXE" is the Path to the Windows Explorer, it can be different on your computer.

- Specify Admin password.

Click "Options" button in the left panel of the main window, then click "Password" sub-button to set the admin password.
The admin password will be used to protect the Internet Lock itself and the uninstaller, it also can be used with any [Password Protect] rule, no matter what the password in the rule is.

Rule Samples

1. [Deny] [C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerIEXPLORE.EXE] on Port [80]
This rule will deny the Internet Explorer on the port 80, which the port 80 is the common port for all the HTTP web site. This rule will then deny the Internet Explorer from accessing internet.
2. [Deny] [Any Program] on Port [80]
This rule will deny all programs from accessing internet on port 80, so this will deny all the web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Netscape etc.
Note: If you also want to deny access to HTTPS sites, please also protect the port 443. If you are using proxy server, please protect the port the proxy server using.
3. [Allow] [Any Program] on Port [110]
This rule will allow all programs to access the port 110, which the port 110 is the common port of the POP3 server. So this rule will allow your e-mail clients to receive emails.
4. [Password Protect] [Any Program] on Port [80]
This rule will ask for password when anyone want to access the internet through port 80. So when you want to browse web sites, Any web browser such as internet Explorer will first ask you for the correct password, if you can not enter the correct password then you can not browse web sites.
