To date this is the most major patch Tree of Savior is implementing. It revamps the class and stats systems:

✔️ A much more horizontal and open class progression, you can pick most subclasses of a given archetype in the order you want, and none of them become obsolete at higher level.

✔️ New "Scout" archetype added, offering Thief-like subclasses.

✔️ The character building is much more beginner friendly. Attribute growth is now automated for the most part and class-dependent, making each class choice more impactful. You also can now correct mistakes with an easy way to change a subclass outside of events and premium items.

✔️ A better foundation for the developers to build upon, the current system making it much easier for them to balance the classes and add new ones.

✔️ More importantly, this patch shows that IMC (the developers) have not abandoned the game despite its rough history, and are not afraid to majorly revamp the old and broken systems, following user feedbacks.

Full disclosure, the game still has flaws, here are the main complaints we read:

❌ Poor optimization, low framerate and stutters are still a thing, but they are actively being fixed by the developers and coming in a future patch.

❌ Lack of challenge and lack of need to teamplay in the lower levels (sadly this issue is present in a lot of MMORPGs nowadays). Monsters die too quickly and pose no threat (mainly because of a few very strong buffs you can buy from players in town). Don't let that discourage you though, it gets much better at high level.

❌ Heavy RNG based equipment upgrade system can be unforgiving for casual players (it's nowhere near as bas as BDO but still).

❌ PVP still has ways to go balance wise.

❌ Low population, the game has lost a good chunk of its playerbase after a very rough launch and a lot of questionable design decisions. Hopefully these improvements will populate the game again.

But this Re:Build patch shows that they are at least headed in the right direction. So if you don't mind these flaws, now is the perfect time to come back or try the game for the first time.
